In the 18 months that I’ve been playing pickleball in Chapel Hill, I’ve become familiar with the overwhelming demand of our community to participate in the sport. I’m also aware that Chapel Hill has a limited number of venues to play pickleball. Pickleball is an excellent venue to promote overall health in our community and diversity. I welcome an opportunity to volunteer my time to affect positive change for Chapel Hill and our pickleball community.

As people have heard me say many times pickleball is much bigger than just a whiffle ball with 40 holes. It’s about life. It’s about people’s holistic well-being on so many levels. It's about relationships. I am pleased to be on the steering committee to share in a vision, an experience and help communicate why pickleball is so much bigger than just a fun sport on a little court with a whiffle ball and a kitchen.

As an active player at the Ephesus Pickleball Courts, I interact with the vast majority of the players that participate in Chapel Hill. As an average, intermediate player I will bring the Steering Committee a perspective of a day-to-day player and will advocate for those that are playing to have fun and get exercise.

I am more than willing, as a member of the CHPB steering committee to donate my time and dedication to help Chapel Hill build additional courts, expand playing venues and conduct skill level ladders and leagues so that we can accommodate the growing number of competitive players.
