EVENT CATEGORIES:
The tournament will be open to seniors (50 or over by December 31, 2017).Players can compete in one single age category in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Age groups will be categorized by ages 50-59,ages 60-69, and ages 70+. Age groups will be determined by the age of the younger player. Also open for registration to all those age 19 and up is a Men’s Doubles & Women’s Doubles Open Tournament.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
The format will be double elimination. A match will consist of one game to 15 points and must win by two. In finals match, if it is a team’s first loss, then there will be a tie breaker match. The match will consist of one game to 11 and win by two. All local rules will be used first, then it will be governed by the Official United States American Pickleball Association (USAPA) Rules and Regulations.
