April 23 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Mark your calendar! The Grand Opening of our SIX new outdoor pickleball courts is now planned for Saturday, April 23rd at 11 AM. And it’s going to be a really big deal.
There will be a ribbon cutting by the Mayor, brief speeches by several Chapel Hill dignitaries, an exhibition game involving the Mayor and several members of the Parks and Recreation Department. Media personal will be present and players from neighboring Pickleball groups will be invited.
Immediately after the Grand Opening speeches and the short exhibition game Open Play on all six courts will follow for the rest of the day at this new venue. We hope all of you can join us for this special event celebrating the tremendous growth of pickleball in Chapel Hill.
As a reminder the new courts are located just behind and to the right of Ephesus School at 1939 Ephesus Church Road in Chapel Hill. Look for the signs and balloons indicating where to turn in and park in the School parking lot. Volunteers will direct you to the courts.
